Labour Councillor for Great Boughton

I’m Steve Collings Labour councillor for Great Boughton in Cheshire West and Chester.

I’m a Chester resident, as a family we chose this area to live and work, bring up our young son and our 2 older girls went to university here, it has shaped a large part of my families life, and I want to help it shape the lives of many more families.

Fed up of seeing cuts to neighbourhood services, cuts to policing, cuts to our local schools, NHS dentists disappearing, doctors waiting times increasing – in all of my life, things have never been so bad.

Locally, Labour has worked hard – keeping things like our library open, providing funding for local projects and investing in community spaces like our parks. I have Lived in Vicars Cross for just over 8 years, but worked in Chester for over 12 years.

As a Cheshire West and Chester councillor, I sit on the Overview and Scrutiny committee and the Audit and Governance committee. I also have the honour of being a Chester Charter Trustee.

I’m also a parish councillor which also gives me access to grass root issues locally.

I am also a council appointee on the Cheshire Fire Authority
